Tomas Diaz, Senior Programmer, Database Developer, and Network & System Administrator Diaz has worked with Ianncomm since 2001 on a number of interactive websites and online communities. Diaz’s strengths lie in his ability to achieve full systems integration from network construction to web, database, and email administration, to application programming that serves the needs of end users. He received his education in computer science and mathematics at Drexel University (1996 to 2001), where he was named a Lucent Technologies Scholar in September of 1998 and a National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering Vanguard Scholar from September 1996 to September 2001. Diaz specializes in working with Linux and Unix variants; is well-versed in C, C++, HTML, Java, PERL, PHP, SQL programming languages; and has utilized ARP, CGI, DHCP, HTTP, HTTPS, NNTP, POP, RARP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP network protocols. He is capable of network and security monitoring using packet capture and Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS). Working with Ianncomm, Diaz has accomplished the following: implemented web (Apache, OpenSSL), email (Sendmail), and database (MySQL) servers running on Linux; configured internal wireless and external network topology, including an NIDS; programmed automation of database backups and notifications from uninterruptible power supply; designed and implemented client databases and web-based internal project management system; administered websites, email, majordomo-based list-serves for multiple clients and domains. He also designs and integrates customized user databases with web-based technologies using PHP and PERL, including real-time reporting of site usage statistics and a user tracking system; administrative interfaces for client database management; secure, web-based data entry and retrieval; statistical analysis and reporting; multi-tiered user access privileges; custom-designed bulletin boards and email list-serves; and information retrieval, storage, searching, sorting, and exporting. |
