Effective communications are no longer about advertising alone, but interaction and engagement.

Message Agency specializes in developing marketing and dissemination strategies that engage a client with its audiences—ensuring that its important products or services are not overlooked. By creating original marketing and dissemination strategies for proposals or working within the outlines of our clients' existing plans, we have helped to increase their exposure and ability to inform relatively inaccessible constituencies, such as policymakers and legislators. We design and implement strategies ranging from focus groups and in-person engagements to online forums and communities.

Examples of Past Projects

National Geographic Society logo National Geographic Society. Message Agency developed marketing strategies and wrote a case statement for the Society's first campaign to solicit major philanthropic donors. The argument for support that we helped to develop was used on the NGS website to solicit online giving.

University of Pennsylvania LogoBennett Hall Campaign, University of Pennsylvania.  Home of Penn's English Department, Bennett Hall had suffered disrepair for decades. After an initial campaign yielded no donations, Penn approached us to develop fundraising strategies and a case that appealed broadly to undergraduates, alumni, and parents. We focused on the building's role in liberal arts education as the heart of teaching and learning on campus.

World Monuments Fund.  This international organization based in New York was preparing to solicit major individual donors through its Campaign for World Monuments, when it asked Message Agency to develop the right theme and case to promote its message. The resulting publication, Preserving Heritage at Risk, focuses on WMF's role in conserving sites that comprise our shared, global cultural resources.
